Meet Cottie. She is a recent high school graduate, trying to find her way in the world. Recently, she graced my studio and brought her A-game for modeling. Her attitude and willingness to try new things is highly infectious! Cottie’s mom and helper brought Cottie to the studio and helped out with clothing changes. Our goal for the day: Make some really fun images with Cottie that would help expose her as a potential model for an agency or talent pool.
It has been a busy, exhausting, and refreshing week in a new favorite spot of the world, Jackson Hole, WY. I spent the time while my wife was in a conference working on my landscape and wildlife photography. Going into both of these requires such a different skill-set from normal portraiture work. Check out the Landscape Photos and Wildlife Photos!

I met up with Cortney M., a local pin-up model to create some memorable images. A special thanks to the car owners for letting us use your cars as background for our photos.

When she saw all of the images, she teared up and said they were beautiful! I made the comment that she will be so happy to have the maternity images later on and that her baby will love seeing them when she is older, and Tiffany agreed. (more…)

Today I continued my senior portrait season for the class of 2011 – Taylor, a senior this fall at one of the Olentangy City Schools High Schools, and I created some images along a local railroad (with assistants watching for trains!). Working with me today was Jacci as an assistant and fellow photographer. She has a great eye and is a true asset when working with the seniors. (more…)
